Cassie Towne

Cassie, a wife and mother of 2 kids, runs and works at her own business as a full time hair stylist.  Although playing all sports (including track) in high school, she didn't develop a love for running until her now 15 year old son was just a baby.  As a means to get healthy again Cassie started running a few days a week and entered a half marathon for fun upon a friend's suggestion.  In some old high school tennis shoes and cotton Soffe shorts she threw down a 1:41 and placed second in her age group.  After that day she got bit with the competitive bug. She has raced dozens of every race distance, but her favorite is still the half.  She combines her love of travel and racing to see cities on foot as much as possible.  Grounded in her faith, she sees running and health as a huge blessing and is thankful for every day she is able to wake up and put one foot in front of the other!
